We have mentioned before that winter is one of our favorite times to be at the beach. I guess to be fair, it’s always our favorite time to be at the beach! However, winter provides us with opportunities to make needed repairs after the busy summer season. This year the wind and rain from the hurricane season caused the upper deck area to need attending to. Rather than putting on another coat of paint, we opted to replace the decking with composite material that will hold up longer. Bonus, it doesn’t burn your feet as bad!
More exciting than not burning your feet in the hot summer sun anymore is the new bar seating installed providing you with expansive third story views over the gulf including sunsets and sunrises.
Materials are still a challenge to get in the area so for now you have seating for 4. We hope to expand that to 6-8 soon! We also replaced the loungers on this deck as the weather and affection of guests had taken its toll on these as well.
